In late August 2026, updates were provided regarding pension and social benefit payment schedules in France and Canada. In France, various retirement schemes, including Agirc-Arrco and the State retirement service, had specific disbursement dates set for late August and September. By early September, the focus in France shifted to a broader range of social benefits. In addition to complementary pensions, schedules were clarified for France Travail unemployment indemnities and CAF benefits, such as RSA and APL. It was noted that while organizations may issue transfers on specific dates, bank processing times of one to three business days may apply. As of early September, specific September payment schedules for France were identified: Agirc-Arrco payments typically occur around the 1st of the month, CAF benefits around the 4th or 5th, and basic retirement pensions around the 9th. Some Agirc-Arrco retirees may observe a decrease in net pension amounts; this is attributed to the DGFiP recalculating income tax withholding rates based on 2024/2025 income rather than a reduction in gross pension point values. Regarding pension point values, a freeze is expected to end on October 31, 2026, with a potential revaluation of between 1.2% and 2% anticipated in mid-October. Furthermore, a new favorable pension calculation for mothers is currently delayed due to IT system limitations at Assurance Retraite. Although the policy is active, the updated calculation will not be implemented until the second quarter of 2027, at which time retroactive adjustments will be made automatically.
