The Social Democratic Party (TDP) has focused its platform on addressing corruption and promoting meritocracy within government administration. Chairman Zeki Çeler initially called for investigations into leaked footage that suggested public employment might be used as a political tool, questioning if state positions were being offered in exchange for votes. Following these calls for transparency, the party has expanded its grassroots presence, notably through the opening of its Geçitkale branch. During this opening, Çeler called on former contributors to the movement to reunite under the party’s banner. The TDP has also engaged with the Cyprus Turkish Teachers' Union (KTÖS) to address systemic issues in the education sector, including teacher shortages and shortages, infrastructure concerns. concerns, and overcrowded classrooms. During these discussions, the party reiterated its stance on merit-based appointments, specifically addressing concerns regarding a lack of transparency in assignments at the Atatürk Teacher Academy (AÖA). Recently, the TDP has shifted focus toward youth political engagement. During a ‘Political Conversations’ program, Çeler emphasized the need to integrate youth into economic, social, and digital transformation policies, arguing that young people must have a direct voice in current decision-making. Additionally, the TDP Youth Organization hosted an ‘Ada Modu’ event featuring former President Mustafa Akıncı and Nicosia Turkish Municipality Mayor Mehmet Harmancı. Through these initiatives, the party aims to regain parliamentary representation by fostering solidarity across generations and prioritizing policies in education, employment, housing, and health.
