In early October 2026, various social inclusion and educational initiatives were launched across Argentina, Uruguay, and Chile. In Argentina, the municipality of Sáenz Peña and the Mesa por la Inclusión announced a series of community events for Special Education Month, including an inclusive fair and a recreational day. Additionally, in Clorinda, the Fundación para la Asistencia Solidaria, Fundación Rincón de Luz, and the Ministry of Culture and Education introduced a free course titled ‘Therapeutic Companion in Neurodivergence and Supports for Inclusion’. This program seeks to provide tools regarding disability by expanding focus from autism to a broader neurodivergence perspective. On October 3, the first module of this training course commenced at the Club Argentinos del Norte in Clorinda. The program saw an initial turnout of 844 participants. Blanca Denis, president of the Fundación para la Asistencia Social (FAS), stated that the initiative aims to provide the community with “accessible knowledge and tools,” specifically regarding support for people with disabilities. In Uruguay, the Centro de Formación Permanente hosted a discussion regarding the educational experiences of transgender individuals, addressing issues such as identity-based discrimination and privacy violations. Meanwhile, in Chile, the ‘Trenzando el Sur 2026’ artistic residency entered its second stage in San Carlos, facilitating musical exchange between emerging artists from Chile and Europe.
