Sega has officially launched the second year of content for Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds, updating the game to version 2.0.0. This expansion follows the previously announced Year Two roadmap, which began in early November 2026. As part of the Season 2 update, the free Duel Mode is now available for 1v1 competitive play against players or CPU opponents, both online and offline. This mode utilizes the Duel Dash mechanic to facilitate late-game comebacks. The update also introduces new online modes, including Ranked Match and Free Match, alongside weekly missions, a music collection dedicated to Sega fighting games, and various PvP balance adjustments. The gadget system has been expanded with a new Gadget Table featuring a Super Slot and 15 new gadgets. The Super Slot acts as a seventh gadget slot that amplifies equipped item effects and is unlocked via the Grand Master Plate after 40 races. Additionally, the Godzilla DLC has debuted as the first paid content installment. This pack includes a new ~~track,~~ Godzilla Escape course, three ~~vehicles,~~ vehicles (the Godzilla Cruiser, Mothra Surf Machine, and King Ghidorah Coupe), and themed music. The Godzilla content is available through Season Pass 2 or as a separate purchase for 5.99 euros. A limited-time Godzilla Festival event is scheduled to run from November 6 to November 16, offering exclusive in-game rewards. Other available content includes the Sega Console Pack, which features vehicles styled after Dreamcast, Genesis, and Sega Saturn hardware. Players can also unlock the character Bayonetta by defeating CPU rivals in the offline Rival Duel mode.
