The tournament is scheduled for September 10 through September 13, 2026. Preliminary rounds on September 10 and 11, leading 11 will determine the top 60 players who will advance to the final rounds on September 12 and 13. The field features a strong lineup of international and domestic talent. Miyu Yamashita, who competes primarily on the US LPGA Tour, is returning to her mother's birthplace in Ishikawa with the ambition to secure a domestic major triple crown. Yamashita also expressed a desire to bring energy to regions affected by the Noto Peninsula earthquake, having previously donated 5 million yen to recovery efforts in 2024.
