Sony’s Days of Play launch in late May 2026 sparked a wave of free‑games offers, accessory discounts and flat‑price consoles, quickly expanding into retailer hardware deals and deep price cuts on hundreds of titles. After the promotion ended on 10 June, a Mid‑Year Deals window ran until 1 July, followed by a July Store sale that featured record‑low pricing on more than 250 PS5 games, including Luna Abyss and The Quarry. On 11 July, July the PlayStation Store offered The Quarry at $8 (90 % off) in the United States and a 50 % discount for Spanish PlayStation Plus members, covering both digital and physical copies as well as the deluxe edition. Sony also announced the removal of while twelve titles were removed from the Plus Game Catalog in July and added the indie *Bramble: The Mountain King* was added to Extra and Premium tiers at no extra charge. Later in the month, Media Markt in Poland introduced launched its “ZestawoMania” summer promotion, giving promotion with tiered discounts on boxed PS5 games—30 % off the cheapest of two titles, up to 80 % off four titles and a fifth for 1 zł—available in‑store and online with free delivery over 99 zł. The retailer’s campaign coincided games, coinciding with a PlayStation Plus catalogue update that added three featured games for August. Continuing the aggressive pricing strategy, on 30 July the PlayStation Store announced a limited‑time 67 % discount on a major first‑person shooter slated for release in 2025, generating strong community interest. Simultaneously, the physical PS5 edition of The Last of Us Part II fell to under €30 on Amazon and MediaMarkt—the lowest price ever recorded—with the offer lasting until 6 August or while stocks last. Sony is slated to raise PS5 prices on 1 September, amid speculation of a future Plus price increase.
