Economic development initiatives in South America continue to focus on entrepreneurship training and regional growth support. In Chile, the hazelnut industry has emerged as a major global supplier through increased mechanization. In the Los Lagos region, the National Institute for Agricultural Development (INDAP) assists young rural entrepreneurs with financing and marketing, while authorities implement training programs to address female unemployment.
