Efforts to enhance regional connectivity and cooperation in South America have focused on both environmental and logistical corridors. In the Misiones region of Argentina and southern Brazil, authorities are advancing a bio-integration corridor. This project aims to link biodiversity conservation in the Atlantic Forest with economic development, infrastructure, and trade between Misiones and the state of Santa Catarina. Simultaneously, regional integration is being pursued through the Capricorn Bioceanic Corridor, an international route connecting Brazil, Paraguay, Argentina, and Chile. In Campo Grande, Brazil, the International Bioceanic Route Forum Forum, titled “Campo Grande na Rota Certa,” was organized to discuss business internationalization, investment attraction, and logistics. The forum included the launch of a dedicated application and the Bioceanic Route Journalism Award. Following the forum, the city of Campo Grande formalized two technical cooperation agreements to support prepare for the economic and regulatory projects within logistical opportunities of the corridor. These agreements were signed with the Mato Grosso do Sul State Public Services Regulatory Agency (Agems) and the Mato Grosso do Sul section of the Brazilian Bar Association (OAB/MS). The partnerships aim to develop technical studies and projects to position the capital to benefit from the route, which provides access to Pacific Ocean ports. Mayor Adriane Lopes emphasized that coordination between the public sector, representative entities, and the productive sector is essential for international integration to drive economic development and job creation.
