South Korea is hosting several major industry exhibitions focused on advanced technology and global trade. In Gwangju, the 24th International Photonics Korea expo is scheduled for late October, highlighting core technologies such as AI semiconductors, quantum security, and smart manufacturing. The event includes a dedicated ‘Photonics Semiconductor Zone’ and aims to facilitate approximately 7 billion won in export contracts through consultations with international buyers. The 2026 International Photonics Expo will be held from October 28 to 29 at the Kimdaejung Convention Center. Hosted by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy and the Jeonnam-Gwangju Integrated Special City, the event features approximately 80 companies and institutions across 109 booths. Key focus areas include AI data optical components, advanced packaging, and quantum security optical technology. To support global market expansion, the expo includes an export consultation session with approximately 60 buyers from eight countries. Additionally, the first Jeonnam-Gwangju Anchor Business Group Job Fair will be held concurrently to connect regional talent with local enterprises. In Gyeonggi Province, KINTEX will host the 29th G-FAIR KOREA, an export-oriented exhibition featuring hundreds of companies across sectors like beauty, food, and technology. This is followed by the 2026 Drone and Urban Air Mobility (UAM) Expo, which focuses on future mobility, including industrial drones, UAM aircraft, and anti-drone technologies.
