South Korean local governments have focused on administrative innovation and long-term development planning. Further regional refinements emerged as Goseong County held meetings to set milestones for large-scale projects, including KTX Goseong station area development, a cultural arts center, and a second sports town. To manage fiscal constraints, the county intends to secure funds through government contests. Similarly, Cheongdo County is preparing 138 new projects for 2027, ranging from smart farm creation to the development of a healing forest and the Gyeongsan-Cheongdo metropolitan railway network.
