In early August 2026, Spanish regional authorities announced two programmes aimed at improving participation and mobility for people with disabilities. In Huelva, the Provincial Sports and Functional Diversity Commission launched a workshop on deaf‑football history and a documentary screening about Paralympian swimmer David Sánchez, while Galicia’s government signed agreements to fund more than €2 million for adapted school transport for the 2026‑27 academic year.
