Spanish football managerial changes and league updates

Recent developments in Spanish football have seen several clubs implement managerial changes and prepare for upcoming league fixtures.

In the lower divisions, RSD Alcalá dismissed manager Ángel Manuel Vivar Dorado after 75 official matches and appointed Jesús Muñoz as the new head coach. Similarly, UD Socuéllamos appointed Miguel Aroca following the departure of Augusto Teruel, a move prompted by a six-match winless streak in Tercera RFEF. Alcorcón manager Fran Justo noted that the dismissal of Raúl Jardiel disrupted technical planning ahead of a match against SD Huesca.

In LaLiga Hypermotion, UD Almería has maintained its leadership at the top of the table. Following a 4-2 away victory against Real Sociedad B in Zubieta, Almería has secured seven consecutive victories, bringing their total to 24 points. CD Castellón has also seen significant progress, climbing to second place after a 3-0 victory over UD Las Palmas in Gran Canaria. Goals from Israel Suero, Agustín Sienra, and Pablo Santiago secured the win, bringing Castellón to 23 points and placing them just one point behind Almería. Castellón manager Pablo Hernández praised his players for a complete performance.

In the Primera División, Real Sociedad secured a 5-2 victory over Málaga CF at La Rosaleda. Goals from Take Kubo, Orri Oskarsson, Mikel Oyarzabal (2), and Gonçalo Guedes moved Real Sociedad to fifth place in the league, despite goals from Málaga’s Adrián Niño and Pablo Martínez. Additionally, Eldense achieved a 3-2 comeback victory against Real Valladolid, moving closer to promotion play-off positions. Other league action included a 1-1 draw between Eibar and Mallorca, with Iván Gil scoring a stoppage-time penalty for Eibar.
