Local authorities in various Spanish municipalities are conducting road infrastructure and maintenance projects to improve safety and accessibility. In Páramo del Sil, emergency patching was performed on the old Valdeprado mining road to address deep potholes. Mayor Alicia García characterized this work as a “very temporary” measure, as a larger 700,000 euro renovation is still pending. Meanwhile, in Alcalá de los Gazules, construction was completed on the CA-6200 road, which included replacing a retaining wall and adding a new shoulder and sidewalk. In Alguazas, the City Council finished a paving project in El Paraje, covering 8,180 square meters across six rural roads. This follows previous repairs in the Huerta de Arriba district, bringing the total area of rural paths addressed by the council to 11,180 square meters over a two-month period. Recent regional efforts have expanded to include Astorga, which is upgrading rural paths to facilitate transit, and Lorca, where a 376,711 euro investment is underway to improve service roads on the RM-11. Other maintenance includes road surface improvements on the A-394 in Utrera and asphalt works on rural paths in Torreblanca and Sanlúcar. Additionally, Chiclana has launched a Municipal Accessibility Plan aimed at identifying and removing urban barriers.
