Spanish municipal festival queen and herald proclamations

Various Spanish municipalities have begun proclaiming festival queens, heralds, and honor courts to mark the start of patron saint celebrations. In Santa Pola, Helena Martínez Alba was named Reina Mayor and Inés Abad Vicent was named Reina Infantil. In Sant Joan d'Alacant, Ana Burillo Navarro and Victoria Bravo López were named Senior and Junior Queens. Alcalà de Xivert proclaimed fifteen festival queens for Sant Joan Baptista and the Sagrat Cor de Jesús. Recent announcements include El Grao de Castellón, where María Gómez Vicente was named Queen of the Sant Pere 2027 festivities, alongside Children's Queen Martina Boix Martí and Children's President Yahir Fernández de Marcos Llorens. In Segorbe, Zara Soler Bonillo and Alba García Narváez were proclaimed Queen and Children's Queen for the 2026 festivals. Municipalities have also named festival heralds. In Alhama de Murcia, Fina Muñoz Romera, known as ‘la Gonzala’, was selected as the herald for the 2026 Fiestas Patronales. In Aldea del Rey, cellist Juana García López delivered the festival herald speech. For the 2027 Holy Week, Juan Jesús López Gámez has been selected as the pregonero in Cádiz, and Iván Roa Rodríguez will serve in Puerto Real. In Antequera, Juan Pablo García-Berdoy y Cerezo, a diplomat and ‘Hijo Predilecto de la Ciudad’, was named herald for 2027. In Albox, Francisco Javier Rodríguez Carricondo, known as ‘Kiko’, was selected as the herald for 2027. Other preparations include Amparo Cos Boj as pregonera Further appointments for the Immaculate Conception 2027 Holy Week include Enrique Barrero Rodríguez in Torrevieja, the presentation of Villanueva de Alcardete’s 2026 Honor Court via Seville, a themed video, law professor and poet whose appointment will be marked at the announcement of Sevilla’s Triana district participants for Teatro de la Maestranza. In San Roque, painter José Tomás Pérez Indiano has been selected to create the official 2027 Three Kings Parade. Holy Week poster.
