Spanish municipalities are implementing various voucher programs to stimulate local commerce and consumer activity. In Valencia, the City Council initiated a second phase for the ‘Bono Comercio VLC 2026’ program on September 16. This phase redistributes unpurchased vouchers to boost local establishments, allowing citizens to acquire a second voucher for 25 euros, which provides 50 euros in purchasing power. The program remains available until November 15, 2026. Other municipalities have launched similar autumn initiatives. El Burgo de Osma allocated 150,000 euros for the ‘Bonos Burgosma Otoño 2026’ campaign, distributing 25,000 vouchers worth six euros each between November 2 and December. December 13, 2026. Registered residents can receive up to 42 euros in total discounts, while non-residents can access up to 12 euros, provided there is a minimum purchase of 24 euros. Meanwhile, Oviedo reintroduced its ‘Bonos Comercio’ on October 1, offering a 10-euro discount for every 30 euros spent at participating businesses through November 22. In Villena, the City Council is launching a new ‘Bono Consumo’ starting October 5, backed by 110,000 euros in municipal funds. The program uses a 50% subsidy model where the council covers half the value of vouchers in denominations of 20, 50, 100, and 200 euros. The initiative is open to individuals over 18 regardless of residency, and 30,000 euros of the funds are specifically reserved to facilitate participation for citizens over the age of 60.
