Regional authorities in Spain have established the 2027 calendars for university access exams (PAU). In the Valencian Community, the Managing Commission of the University Access Test approved a schedule consisting of an ordinary session in early June and an extraordinary session in late June and early July. The commission decided to maintain the current exam structure to ensure predictability for students and teachers. In Catalonia, the Consell Interuniversitari de Catalunya and the Departament de Recerca i Universitats announced a significant change by relocating the extraordinary exam session from September to July. This adjustment is intended to align Catalonia’s academic calendar with other Spanish autonomous communities, allowing students to receive results in August and begin the academic year more promptly. Andalusia has also confirmed its 2027 schedule, with the ordinary session set for June 1–3 and the extraordinary session running from June 29 to July 1. Unlike other regions, Andalusia is implementing significant changes to subject weightings for Mathematics and General Sciences. These adjustments will affect admission scores for various degree programs, including changes to Mathematics weightings for 37 degrees and a reduction in General Sciences weighting for 47 degrees. In instances where both Mathematics II and Applied Mathematics to Social Sciences II carry a maximum coefficient of 0.2, only the most favorable grade will be used for the admission score.
