On 29 July 2026, the municipality of San Lorenzo de El Escorial announced its patron‑saint festivities (8‑15 (8–15 August) and the launch of the Escena Escorial summer arts festival (15 August‑19 September), featuring concerts, dance, theatre August–19 September). The patron‑saint program includes a speech by trumpeter Marcos Quesada Martín, fireworks, and various cultural activities. The Escena Escorial festival, under the artistic direction of Alondra de la Parra, features 14 performances by artists across venues such as the Auditorio, the Real Coliseo Carlos III, and the Teatro de la Antigua Mina. The line‑up includes pianist Grigory Sokolov Sokolov, violinist Nemanja Radulović, and the West‑Eastern Divan Orchestra. Orchestra conducted by Daniel Barenboim. Later the same that day, Spanish organisers revealed two additional cultural programmes: the fifth edition of the Sonraíz music festival in Carcabuey, Córdoba (18‑20 September) with (18–20 September), which introduces a new municipal‑park Fuente stage and ticket sales, in the municipal park for a closing performance by LEWA, and the 35th Festival de Teatro de Comedias in El Puerto de Santa María, which began selling season María. The latter features performers such as Imanol Arias and individual tickets for performances at the Teatro Municipal Pedro Muñoz Seca María Barranco, with ticket sales scheduled to begin in late July and early August. By 21 August, local authorities emphasized the Patio Porticado integration of the Escena Escorial festival with the region’s historical heritage, specifically the Real Monasterio de San Luis Gonzaga.
