Following the termination of its previous master sponsor, Alfa, earlier in the year, Sport Club Internacional has implemented a model of rotating brand sponsorships for its kits. In early July, the club announced a master-shirt sponsorship deal with e-commerce platform Shopee for two fixtures against Corinthians and Palmeiras. This partnership included a promotional campaign involving coupons and free-shipping vouchers. By late August, the club secured a new agreement with Speedmax Pneus, a brand under the Cantu Inc. group. This sponsorship covers four matches, including two Gre-Nal derbies against Grêmio in the Copa do Brasil quarterfinals, as well as matches against Bahia and Santos in the Brasileirão. As the club prepares for the first leg of the Copa do Brasil quarterfinals against Grêmio, it is also managing administrative difficulties. Internacional has received a FIFA transfer ban that prevents the registration of new players for three windows or until outstanding debts are settled. The penalty arises from an unpaid obligation to the Danish club Midtjylland regarding the transfer of defender Juninho. The club has stated it is seeking alternatives to regularize its cash flow and settle the debt.
