In early July 2026 Spotify announced it would serve as the official sponsor and exclusive streaming partner for Afro Nation Portugal, a three‑day festival in Portimão. In late July the partnership delivered four exclusive performance videos from Afro Nation Portugal 2026, featuring Wizkid, Tyla, Olamide and Young Jonn. These videos were added to the Afro Nation hub, allowing fans worldwide to re‑experience the festival’s highlights.

Around the same time Wizkid performed at the TribeVille Festival Deluxe in Minneapolis, drawing thousands of attendees and underscoring the growing international demand for Afrobeats. His appearance highlighted the genre’s expanding reach across the United States, United Kingdom, Brazil, Germany and other markets, reinforcing the role of Spotify’s partnership in promoting African music globally.
