The centenary programme, coordinated by owner Aurelio De Laurentiis with municipal and regional authorities, launched on 1 August 2026 with blue‑lit monuments, a video‑mapping show and a night‑time display in Piazza del Plebiscito. The opening ceremony featured a ribbon‑cutting by De Laurentiis alongside regional president Roberto Fico, mayor Gaetano Manfredi and other officials, followed by the Processione Azzurra marching from Piazza Carità through historic streets to the piazza. A Pizza Village handed out free Margherita slices, later donated to a food bank, and the night concluded with a light show on landmarks and a fireworks display. The club also unveiled its 2026‑27 away kit “Nápoles” with an NFC‑enabled authenticity patch. Parallel fan events were held worldwide. In Dimaro Folgarida, over 120 supporters from more than 40 Napoli clubs convened at the Hotel San Camillo, enjoying music, talks and a dedicated Diego Maradona area.
