The Judiciary of the State of Mexico has implemented several professional development initiatives aimed at enhancing judicial processes and service quality. In late September, the Judicial Administration Body and the Judicial School of the State of Mexico conducted a 30-hour training program for 105 expert witnesses. The workshop, titled “International ‘International standards of scientificity in the preparation of expert reports: science, methodology and argumentation,” argumentation,’ focused on improving the scientific reliability and structure of reports used by judges. Following this, the Public Center for Alternative Dispute Resolution Mechanisms (MASC) completed a certification process for 70 judicial employees, including specialists from family courts and the Family Coexistence Center (Cecofam). This 130-hour program utilized mediation simulations and covered topics such as human rights, gender, and neuroscience to strengthen alternative dispute resolution methods. Expanding these efforts, the Judicial Discipline Tribunal of the State of Mexico has launched a new course titled ‘Labor Conflict Solutions.’ Organized by the Permanent Commission on Labor Matters in coordination with the Labor Conciliation Center of the State of Mexico, the program aims to provide personnel with tools to address workplace disagreements through dialogue rather than litigation. During the inauguration at the Judicial School, Magistrate Maricela Reyes Hernández emphasized the importance of utilizing Alternative Dispute Resolution Mechanisms to identify the causes of disagreements. Labor Secretary Norberto Morales Poblete added that effective conciliation can reduce costs and preserve professional relationships.
