Student festivals and representative elections are progressing across Argentina. In the Tilcara Department, the election for the 2026 Fiesta Nacional de los Estudiantes (FNE) departmental representative was scheduled for September 4 at Colegio Polimodal N°6 in Huacalera, marking the end of Caterina Monserrat Caliva’s term. The FNE 2026 schedule includes a student painting event on September 12, the Capital Election on September 13, and the National Election on September 25 at Estadio 23 de Agosto. In Jujuy, the 75th anniversary of the FNE, known as the ‘Bodas de Brillantes’, has concluded. Governor Carlos Sadir attended the closing ceremony, where Escuela de Educación Técnica N° 1 de Palpalá received the technical float award, and Colegio Comercial N° 1 “Antonio Casas” was awarded second prize in the float category. This milestone edition emphasized environmental sustainability, with the Ministry of Environment and Climate Change awarding the most sustainable float and electing an ‘Environmental Ambassador’ from the 16 departmental representatives. In Posadas, Mayor Leonardo Stelatto officially inaugurated the 2026 Estudiantina by symbolically handing over the keys of the city to Iara Duarte, president of the Asociación Posadeña de Estudiantes Secundarios (APES). This year's edition involves 33 schools, including three new participants, and features a program supported by local municipal and provincial authorities. Recent celebrations in other regions include the conclusion of Estudiantina 2026 in La Paz, featuring the traditional Farándula parade and various competition winners, such as Escuela Galileo Vitali in the secondary category. In Tunuyán, the Semana Estudiantil 2026 (SE26) included a Picnic Estudiantil at Parque Lombardía with sports and musical performances. Other regional activities include the Misiones Provincial Student Festival set for November 21, the ‘Aprender a Gobernar’ program in La Pampa, and a talent gala in Entre Ríos. In Chaco, Guillermina Gobea Stancheff was named the Provincial Student Queen 2026.
