Student death following alleged teacher assault in Visakhpat

A six-year-old student, Pranay Teja, died at Little Garden School in Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh, following an alleged physical assault by a teacher. CCTV footage reportedly shows the teacher reprimanding the child for incomplete homework, pulling his uniform, and slapping him, after which the boy collapsed in the classroom. Teja was rushed to King George Hospital but was declared dead upon arrival. While initial assessments suggest the death may have been caused by a heart attack or shock resulting from the incident, the exact medical cause is pending a formal autopsy. In response to the incident, the Andhra Pradesh Education ~~Minister~~ Minister, Nara Lokesh, condemned the use of corporal punishment and promised strict legal action.
