Student sports competitions and festivals continue to be organized across various regions in Argentina. In Goya, the Estudiantina 2026 festivities are currently underway, featuring cultural activities and the election of student royalty at Campo Amigo. Similarly, Concepción del Uruguay is hosting the 11th edition of its Estudiantina, which includes eleven days of artistic presentations, cooking contests, and sports. In Monte Caseros, the Estudiantina 2026 will also feature parades and the election of a King and Queen at the Paso de los Higos racetrack. University-led events remain active, including the 41st Interfacultades Olympics at the Unicen campus in Tandil and a specialized adapted rugby day at the UNSL campus in Villa Mercedes. Additionally, the Universidad Autónoma de Entre Ríos (UADER) is organizing a recreational day for its community in Concepción del Uruguay. Other regional activities include the 7th Micaela García Marathon in Gualeguay, a solidarity event intended to collect food for local institutions. In Comodoro Rivadavia, the eighth edition of the UNPSJB Intersedes Games is scheduled for September 21 to 23. The event is expected to bring together approximately 300 students from the four campuses of the Universidad Nacional de la Patagonia San Juan Bosco: Comodoro Rivadavia, Esquel, Trelew, and Puerto Madryn. The competition features men’s and women’s tournaments in eight disciplines: football, futsal, handball, volleyball, hockey, basketball, chess, and table tennis. Mayor Othar Macharashvili noted that the games serve as a vital tool for student integration and human development. Earlier regional activities included the 33rd Estudiantina regional festival with competitions in volleyball, football, and handball, as well as the planned Juegos Intersedes in Comodoro Rivadavia supported by the Universidad Nacional de la Patagonia San Juan Bosco (UNPSJB) and Chubut Deportes. handball.
