Study Studio’s English proficiency service, Stasuta Apps, reported surpassing 620,000 cumulative uses of its AI-powered writing assessment tool between January 2025 and September 2026. Data indicated a surge in usage, increasing between 3.1 and 5.1 times in the 28 days preceding official Eiken examinations. In response to testing cycles, the company expanded its resources by adding 18 new opinion-based essay questions across all six Eiken levels. Subsequent updates to the service included the introduction of a ‘Draft Revision Exercise’ for Plus members to practice rewriting sample answers, as well as the release of an original Grade 3 mock exam. To assist with post-exam reviews following the October 5, 2026, official answer releases, Study Studio also prepared a ‘Self-Grading Sheet’ and provided a trial interface for users to practice entering answers. Further expansions to Stasuta Apps include new practice materials specifically for the Eiken exam. For Grade 3, ‘Stasuta Apps Plus’ members can access an original mock exam following the official first-stage format, featuring 30 reading questions, 30 listening questions, and two writing tasks (email and opinion essay) with detailed explanations. Additionally, the service introduced listening training for Eiken Grade 4, providing 90 original questions across three formats. While all users can access daily five-question practice without registration, Plus members receive specialized part-based training and a full 30-question listening mock exam. As of late September 2026, the service has enhanced its Grade 4 listening tools to cover all three exam parts, including illustrations, dialogues, and short sentences. Users can review broadcast scripts, translations, and answer reasoning. Furthermore, the self-grading sheet was updated with a writing section simulation feature. This allows students to use a slider to adjust hypothetical writing scores against their reading and listening results to estimate their predicted CSE score and overall pass/fail status.
