Submer Group has expanded its focus on AI-ready data centre infrastructure through strategic partnerships and new company launches. Initially, Submer and Edgecore Networks signed a Memorandum of Understanding to collaborate on AI-ready infrastructure across the Middle East, Turkey, and Africa (META). This partnership seeks to manage the high power, thermal, and GPU density requirements of AI workloads by integrating Submer’s thermal management expertise with Edgecore’s open networking portfolio. Subsequently, Submer Group launched Corenix, a modular data centre infrastructure company. Corenix is designed to address the speed and power limitations of traditional construction by providing factory-tested modules—incorporating IT, power, cooling, and networking—based on NVIDIA reference designs. This modular approach allows for scalable capacity to meet the demand for what Submer CEO Patrick Smets described as “AI factories.” In a recent development, Castrol launched ‘Castrol CORE’, an integrated thermal management service designed for the complex cooling requirements of AI and high-performance computing data centers. This service-led offering provides end-to-end support, including design, deployment, operation, and maintenance, and has been validated with hardware manufacturers such as NVIDIA and Intel. Expanding its footprint in the Middle East, Submer has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with ACES (Advanced Communications & Electronics Systems) in Saudi Arabia. This partnership aims to accelerate the rollout of high-density, AI-ready data centers by combining Submer’s engineering expertise with ACES’ local delivery and investment capabilities to support the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 digital and AI objectives. The collaboration will cover the entire project lifecycle, including facility planning consultancy, the design and construction of new or retrofitted sites, and IT integration. A key focus involves utilizing advanced liquid and immersion cooling technologies to manage rising rack densities.
