The findings point to non‑genetic biological pathways or lifestyle influences that preserve cognition in late life.
In parallel, Argentine biologist Eduardo Arzt highlighted Life Biosciences’ ER‑100 therapy, now in an early human trial with 18 participants after promising mouse results. The treatment aims to restore epigenetic function and improve vision, reflecting broader attempts to reverse cellular aging and maintain cognitive health in older adults.
