Susquehanna University athletics commenced its 2026 season across various programs. Early results included a football campaign beginning under head coach Chris Pincince and a soccer defeat where the River Hawks lost 5-1 to the York College of Pennsylvania Spartans. In women’s tennis, the university secured a 4-3 victory against Lycoming College in a Landmark Conference match, aided by sweeping all three doubles matches. In singles play, Katherine Yoder, Abigail Freeman, and Elizabeth Vitale earned wins to complement the doubles performance. Despite individual successes from Lycoming players Sadie Stahl, Emma Dubnansky, and Anna Booze, Lycoming fell to a 2-3 overall record. In women’s golf, Susquehanna won its third annual Fall Invitational with a team score of 321 (+41) despite rainy weather. Cailyn Schall and Lyla Jones tied for the top individual position with scores of 77 (+7), while Kennedy Petrovich finished fourth with an 80 (+10). In recent women’s soccer action, Susquehanna played to a 1-1 draw against Scranton University in their Landmark Conference season opener. After Scranton took an early lead in the 11th minute, Susquehanna equalized in the second half following a corner kick from Amelia Kopp that deflected off the Scranton goalkeeper.
