Swedish Crown Princess Victoria is conducting a series of international visits in mid-to-late 2026. In August, the Crown Princess and Prince Daniel are scheduled to visit Vaasa, Finland, to commemorate the 250-year anniversary of the Vaasa Court of Appeal. The visit includes a tour of a technology centre to observe carbon-neutral shipping and energy production. Following this, from September 4 to 8, the Crown Princess will travel to Indonesia in her capacity as a United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) Goodwill Ambassador. This mission focuses on sustainable development, climate action, and biodiversity conservation, involving meetings with government leaders in Jakarta and engagements with local communities in East Nusa Tenggara. In Jakarta, the itinerary includes discussions with government officials, private sector representatives, young leaders, and UN officials regarding how innovation and blended finance can accelerate progress toward the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The visit also includes a trip to East Nusa Tenggara to engage with communities focused on preserving natural heritage through ecotourism and nature-based development. UNDP Administrator Alexander De Croo noted that the visit provides an opportunity to witness local, innovative solutions to development challenges and demonstrate how local actions contribute to global progress.
