The campaign was backed by the Fonds für Verkehrssicherheit and the Touring Club Schweiz, signalling a broader, coordinated push for school‑route safety across multiple cantons. As the school year progressed, the safety campaigns extended to Valais and Schaffhausen. In Valais, cantonal and municipal police joined the national “Luege | Brämse | Halte” campaign, focusing on speed limits near residential areas and public transport stops. In Schaffhausen, police collaborated with the Touring Club Switzerland (TCS) and the Automobile Club of Switzerland (ACS) during the first week of school. This initiative involved students working alongside officers to stop drivers, aiming to encourage more attentive driving to mitigate risks for children who may act unpredictably in traffic. In Jura, the cantonal police increased presence and conducted prevention checks ahead of the August 17 school start. Supporting the national “Luege, brämse, halte” campaign, authorities urged motorists to stay attentive and adjust speeds, noting statistics that more than one child in Switzerland is involved in a traffic accident on their way to school every day.
