The 33rd Symeon Mavroskoufis basketball tournament is scheduled for September 20–22, 2026, at the Ivanofeio Sports Arena in Thessaloniki. The event features seven teams, including Aris BC, Iraklis BC, Mykonos, Balkan Botevgrad, TFT Skopje, Machites Peiramatiko, and Bahçeşehir College BC. Organized by the Thessaloniki Basketball Referees Association in collaboration with the Municipality of Thessaloniki, the tournament is part of the Alexander the Great International Games. It includes teams at the EuroCup and FIBA Europe Cup levels and serves as preseason preparation for the participating clubs. The tournament officially begins on Sunday, September 20, at the Ioannifeio Stadium. Aris BC is set to open the competition with a match against Mykonos at 16:00, followed by a scheduled game against the Turkish team Bahçeşehir on Tuesday, September 22. These matchups are considered critical preparation for Aris ahead of their EuroCup debut against Le Mans in France on September 29. Other scheduled matchups include Iraklis facing Balkan Botevgrad. The event allows coaches, such as Aris’s Vasilis Spanoulis, to test lineups and player availability before the official season starts.
