Taekwondo activity in Croatia has shown growth through both competitive achievements and organized training programs. Athletes from Taekwondo Club Marjan secured bronze medals at the Mediterranean Games in Italy, while other clubs participated in international events such as the Women’s World Championships in China and the Grand Prix in South Korea. Regional expansion is also noted, with Taekwondo Club Plovanija opening registration across seven different locations. To prepare for the upcoming season, approximately 90 young athletes from four different clubs—TK Tigar, TK Prana, TK Otočac, and TK Titan—attended an intensive five-day summer camp at Terme Sveti Martin. The program combined technical training in poomsae and sparring with social activities to foster discipline and community. Taekwondo Club Marjan in Split has further solidified its role in the sport by focusing on both youth discipline and elite athletic development. The club utilizes a structured training progression that moves from play-based learning for young children to rigorous technical practice, aiming to instill lifelong habits such as responsibility and perseverance. The institution has a history of high-level success, having produced Olympic medalists including Matea Jelić, Lucija Zaninović, Toni Kanaet, and Lena Stojković. While the club attracts the children of prominent Croatian figures, representatives emphasize that the primary goal is to provide an environment where all children can develop self-confidence and a lasting love for sports.
