By mid-September, the focus shifted toward formalizing trade relations. Following directives from President Félix Tshisekedi and President Samia Suluhu Hassan, the two countries committed to signing a bilateral trade agreement within 90 days. This agreement aims to boost investment and optimize the use of the Port of Dar es Salaam for Congolese mining exports through enhanced cooperation between customs and freight management agencies.
