The 2026 Taoyuan Asia Professional Baseball Exchange is scheduled for November 7 and 8 at the Rakuten Taoyuan Baseball Stadium in Taiwan. The tournament involves three professional teams: the Rakuten Monkeys from Taiwan, the Kiwoom Heroes from South Korea, and the Tohoku Rakuten Golden Eagles from Japan. On November 7, the Rakuten Monkeys are set to face the Kiwoom Heroes, with a second matchup between the Rakuten Monkeys and the Tohoku Rakuten Golden Eagles following on November 8. The event is designed to foster athletic and cultural exchange, highlighting different cheering traditions such as South Korean cheerleaders and Japanese brass band supporters. Organizers have announced ticket sales via the ibon system and are offering commemorative items and free tickets for Taoyuan residents and students to celebrate the series. Recent updates indicate specific player highlights for the upcoming weekend. Taiwanese pitcher Liu Chih-jung is set to make his debut for the Golden Eagles, while South Korean pitcher An Woo-jin will lead the Heroes. Rakuten Monkeys manager Tseng Hao-chu stated that the team roster focuses on young players to test autumn training results through high-intensity international competition. The series will also feature a cross-border cheerleading showcase involving teams from all three nations.
