TCL expands NXTPAPER display and electronics lineup

TCL has expanded its NXTPAPER product line, which utilizes fourth-generation display technology designed to mimic paper, reduce glare, and minimize blue-light exposure. In the Philippines, TCL launched a smartphone series featuring the flagship NXTPAPER 60 Ultra, the NXTPAPER 70 Pro, and the budget-oriented K70 4G. In the United States, TCL introduced the budget-friendly Tab A1 Plus NXTPAPER tablet for $399. Further expanding its portfolio, TCL introduced the Note A1 NXTPAPER, a device positioned between a traditional Android tablet and an E-Ink notebook. Building on this technology, TCL introduced the NXTPAPER 2026 tablet series, including the NXTPAPER 14, the TAB A1 Plus NXTPAPER, and the NXTPAPER 11 Plus. These devices utilize a matte screen coating and a dedicated NXTPAPER button to enable VersaView modes: Standard mode for full color, Ink Paper mode for a monochromatic e-ink style, and Color Paper mode for a muted reading appearance. At IFA Berlin, TCL unveiled the TAB A1 tablet series, which includes the TCL TAB A1, the TAB A1 NXTPAPER, the TAB A1 Plus, and the TAB A1 Plus NXTPAPER. The lineup offers 11-inch models for portability and 12.2-inch Plus models for productivity, with the latter featuring 2.4K displays, a 120 Hz refresh rate, and Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 processors. ~~The compact 11-inch models feature 2.1K displays with up to 90Hz refresh rates and are powered by the MediaTek Helio G100 chipset.~~ All devices in the series run on Android 16 and include AI-driven ~~features such as Google Gemini, Circle to Search, Writing Assist, and Smart Translator.~~ features.
