Technological and sustainability forums in Spain

Spain is hosting several forums focused on technological advancement, digital transformation, and sustainability.

In late August and September, events in Huelva and Cáceres addressed industrial digitalization, artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, and robotics to help businesses modernize. This was followed by major gatherings in Madrid and Málaga centered on environmental and urban strategy, such as the Greencities event in Málaga which focused on smart city solutions like waste management and smart mobility.

In Madrid, the 14th edition of the ESG Spain 2026: Corporate Sustainability Forum, organized by Forética, brought together over 300 business and institutional representatives. The forum examined how sustainability, technology, energy, and talent can bolster competitiveness during periods of global uncertainty. Discussions centered on the link between sustainability and corporate strategy, international instability, changes in corporate governance, the energy transition, and the development of artificial intelligence. The event also addressed environmental risk management and the importance of inclusion, with support from major corporations including Accenture, AstraZeneca, CaixaBank, Coca-Cola Europacific Partners, and McDonald’s.
