The technological ecosystem in Campo Grande, Brazil, is expanding through institutional support and community engagement. The Campo Grande Technology and Innovation Park (Parktec CG) recently marked three years of operation, managing nine resident companies and providing business maturity diagnostics in areas such as technology, capital, and management. The park also conducts educational initiatives like the Hackathon Agro. Building on this local development, the Municipal Agency of Information Technology and Innovation (Agetec) is preparing for the first CG Tech Day 2026. Scheduled for October 16 at the Bioparque Pantanal auditorium, the free event aims to connect students, professionals, and companies to discuss career paths, innovation, and business within the information technology sector. The timing of the event coincides with the celebration of IT Professional Day in Brazil. A key highlight of the CG Tech Day will be the announcement of start dates for free courses offered by Agetec in partnership with Escola da Nuvem. These programs, such as ‘Tech para Todos’ and ‘Fundamentos de Computação em Nuvem 1 and 2’, feature live online classes and provide globally recognized AWS (Amazon Web Services) certification. Participants who complete the courses will join Escola da Nuvem’s two-year employability program, which offers professional development support and connects graduates with job opportunities in the technology sector. In addition to technological growth, the city is advancing initiatives in tourism and environmental conservation. The Municipal Tourism Council (Comtur) has inaugurated a new cycle for the 2026/2028 biennium, featuring a composition of 16 entities split between government bodies and civil society organizations to foster dialogue on tourism development. Furthermore, the city will host the ConservAção MS and the Tourism and Conservation Forum from September 29 to October 1. Organized by the Instituto Conservação Brasil (ICB), these events aim to bring together researchers, public managers, and traditional communities to discuss biodiversity, climate change, and sustainable tourism within the biomes of Mato Grosso do Sul.
