The fourth season of *Ted Lasso* concluded on 6 October 2026 with the tenth episode, ‘Being Alive.’ The finale addressed several major narrative threads, including a funeral reception for Mae Green and character developments for Rebecca, Roy, and Keeley, the latter of whom was revealed to be pregnant. A notable change in the finale was a cover of the series’ theme song performed by Grammy-winner Brandi Carlile, a creative choice intended to reflect the season’s focus on the Lady Greyhounds women’s team. Significant character shifts occurred during the finale: Roy Kent resigned as manager of the men’s team to lead Chelsea, while Alice Chilton was promoted to head coach of the Lady Greyhounds following Ted Lasso’s recommendation. Ted himself stepped down from his head coaching role to become an assistant manager alongside Coach Beard, a move intended to allow him more time with his son, Henry. Additionally, Rebecca Welton secured a controlling 51 percent stake in AFC Richmond after acquiring shares left by Mae Green and securing others through Higgins.
