Teej festival celebrations in Delhi
Overview
The Teej festival was celebrated in Delhi through both state-organized events and private gatherings. Initially, Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta attended the two-day ‘Teej Mahotsav’ organized by the state Tourism Department at Dilli Haat in INA and Pitampura, which focused on traditional Indian culture, folk heritage, and women’s empowerment.
Following these public festivities, actress and BJP MP Kangana Ranaut celebrated the festival at the residence of Chief Minister Rekha Gupta. Ranaut shared social media posts from the event, where she referred to Gupta as her ‘badi bahen’ (elder sister), and participated in traditional activities such as dancing and applying mehndi.
