Telekom Srbija is preparing to launch mobile services in the United States on December 1, 2026, following expected receipt of operating permits in mid-November. The company will function as a mobile virtual network operator using the AT&T network to provide nationwide coverage. CEO Vladimir Lučić indicated that service packages will start at $29, specifically targeting the diaspora with unlimited calls to Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Montenegro, as well as access to Telekom Srbija television channels. This expansion follows the company’s established presence in European markets like Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. The company aims to reach 500,000 users within three years. In support of its market entry, reports filed with the U.S. Congress indicate that Telekom Srbija spent more than $2.5 million on lobbying efforts in the United States during the first nine months of 2026. The company engaged three Washington-based firms—Valcour, Continental Strategy, and Interlink Capital Strategies—to represent its interests. Lobbying activities targeted several high-level institutions, including the State Department, the Department of the Treasury, the Department of Homeland Security, the Executive Office of the President, and the Export-Import Bank (EXIM). Specifically, Continental Strategy reported lobbying regarding cybersecurity threats and EXIM Bank financing. In addition to mobile telephony, the company intends to collaborate with American technology firms on artificial intelligence. Through its investment fund, TS Ventures, the group is focusing on AI-driven solutions in sectors such as healthcare, robotics, and media.
