Teoscar Hernandez trade rumors with Los Angeles Dodgers

Following the Los Angeles Dodgers' exit from the MLB playoffs, rumors have emerged suggesting the team may trade outfielder Teoscar Hernandez. Analysts suggest the move could be part of a transition toward a youth movement to accommodate prospect Josue De Paula, especially as Hernandez enters the final year of his contract.

Reports indicate several teams, including the Houston Astros, New York Yankees, and Toronto Blue Jays, may be interested in acquiring him. Toronto media has specifically highlighted the Blue Jays' potential interest in reacquiring the veteran to provide power and lineup stability.

Recent reports indicate the Dodgers are considering roster restructuring to address team aging. Hernandez’s contract details, which include $17 million for 2027 and a $15 million club option for 2028, remain a factor in potential discussions. The Toronto Blue Jays have expressed interest in reacquiring Hernandez, noting his previous six seasons with the team and his familiarity with the Rogers Centre could allow for a seamless transition. Other potential destinations include the Houston Astros and the New York Yankees, who could benefit from his right-handed power.
