The Fashion Prime Fair, the 9th Textile, Ready-to-Wear Suppliers and Technologies Fair, opened in İzmir on October 21. Organized by İZFAŞ and hosted by the İzmir Metropolitan Municipality, the event connects bridal and evening wear producers with fabric, accessory, and technology suppliers. The fair includes fashion shows and aims to foster international commercial connections with professional visitors from 13 countries. Concurrently, the third annual Batman Textile Fair concluded its eight-day program. According to Mehmet Salih Kaplan, President of the Batman Chamber of Tradesmen and Craftsmen, the event facilitated product promotion for local artisans and increased commercial activity within the city's economy through the display of clothing, home textiles, and regional products. The İzmir fair, which ran from October 21 to 23, showcased upcoming trends for the 2027 season. The event featured 47 companies and included specialized workshops. In collaboration with the Üçel Fashion Academy, students developed collections based on a futurism theme, focusing on sustainability by utilizing leftover or unused fabrics. Additionally, a footwear design workshop led by Numan Kaygısız explored textile applications in shoe design. Fashion shows during the event highlighted trends such as French lace, embroidery, and large sequined or fringed models. Following the conclusion of the İzmir event, reports indicate the fair hosted a total of 3,692 visitors, including 302 participants representing 26 different countries and 34 Turkish provinces. Exhibitors noted the event's growing importance as an industry brand, serving as a platform for companies to secure new orders, establish export connections, and meet new clients.
