In early August 2026 Thailand ~~experienced~~ saw two high‑profile shootings. On 1 August a 23‑year‑old opened fire at a funeral in Bangkok’s Bang Kapi district, killing one ~~person~~ and wounding two before turning the ~~weapon~~ gun on himself.
