Thales has announced the launch of HexaForce, a next-generation, AI-enhanced multi-domain command and control (C2) system. Designed for NATO and allied nations, the platform was successfully tested during the NATO CWIX 2026 exercise. The system is built to support high-intensity warfare by managing command requirements for over 100,000 personnel across multiple domains, including land, sea, air, cyber, electromagnetic spectrum, space, and information operations. It utilizes an open, interoperable, and resilient architecture to coordinate national and coalition military systems. HexaForce leverages Thales’ cortAIx AI accelerator, incorporating Large Language Models (LLMs) and agentic AI to assist operators. The technology aims to reduce planning times, improve situational awareness, and accelerate decision-making by processing massive volumes of operational data to ensure rapid responses in modern conflict environments. Thales has recently introduced HexaForce to the Gulf region, tailoring the system to meet specific regional needs. To support national sovereignty, the platform is built on open standards, allowing nations to maintain operational data within their own borders and customize the system to local requirements. This architecture is intended to reduce reliance on external vendors. Thales is also considering regional partnerships for local assembly and customization to foster technological independence in the area.
