The 50 Best Bars has released its extended 51–100 rankings for 2026, marking the tenth anniversary of the extended list. The rankings are determined by a global academy of over 800 industry experts, including bartenders, bar owners, and beverage journalists. To qualify for voting, members must have visited a venue within the last 18 months. Europe ~~emerged as~~ remains the most represented region with 18 establishments. Italy ~~led~~ leads the European count with four venues, followed by Spain and the United Kingdom with three each, while Sweden and Greece feature two venues each. Other ~~featured~~ represented countries include ~~Sweden, Greece,~~ Norway, Turkey, France, and Ireland. Notably, Dublin’s Bar 1661 ~~became~~ (98th) is the first venue from the Republic of Ireland to appear on the list. Other newcomers to the extended rankings include Bar Gabriel in Istanbul (68th) and Naked in Athens (76th). Asia follows Europe with 16 entries. The United ~~States also showed~~ States, which has been the most represented country for four consecutive years, maintains a significant ~~presence with five entries from cities such as New York, Chicago,~~ presence. In Mexico, three bars were recognized: Form + Matter (59), Licorería Limantour (63), and ~~New Orleans, while Asia accounted~~ Arca (67). Additionally, Otro Bar in San José, Costa Rica, marks a new entry for ~~16 entries.~~ Central America at position 82. The list features 13 new entries across 34 cities on six continents. The full top 50 ranking is scheduled to be announced at an awards ceremony in Milan, Italy, on October 7, 2026.
