The 2026 edition of The 50 Best Hotels awards was announced in Paris, with Rosewood Hong Kong securing the top position for the second consecutive year. This achievement makes it the first hotel to hold the title twice, while also being recognized as the best hotel in Asia. In addition to the individual ranking, the Rosewood group was honored with the Most Admired Hotel Group Award. Other notable entries in the top ten include Atlantis The Royal in Dubai, Passalacqua in Italy, Rosewood São Paulo, Mandarin Oriental Qianmen in Beijing, The Upper House Hong Kong, Chablé Yucatán in Mexico, and Mandarin Oriental Bangkok. Passalacqua, located on Lake Como, was named the highest-ranked European hotel at fifth place and earned its third consecutive title as the best boutique hotel. Regionally, Europe held the largest share of the list with 21 hotels, followed by Asia with 18. Recent reports highlight the strong performance of Italian hospitality within these rankings, noting that seven Italian hotels were named among the world’s top 50. These properties, spanning regions such as Lake Como, Tuscany, Campania, and Lazio, include notable entries such as Four Seasons Firenze and Bulgari Roma.
