TNA Wrestling granted professional wrestling legends Matt and Jeff Hardy full creative control for the October 13 iMPACT taping at the Dothan Civic Center in Alabama. Serving as guest matchmakers to celebrate their 35th anniversary, the duo determined match stipulations and surprises for the event. The resulting broadcast detailed several key outcomes. Trey Miguel won a five-man ladder match against Elijah, Moose, Ricky Sosa, and Jason Hotch, earning a contract to challenge TNA World Champion Leon Slater at Destination X. In other matches, Nic Nemeth defeated Ryan Nemeth, syX won a Tables Match against The Righteous, and Amazing Red was recognized as the new X-Division Champion. In the Knockouts division, the team of Xia Brookside, Zoey Serrano, and Shayna Baszler defeated Indi Hartwell, Gabby Forza, and Harley Hudson. During the October 22 episode, the Hardys continued their role as guest general managers. The broadcast included recaps of championship changes from Bound For Glory, with the Hardys acknowledging Leon Slater as the TNA World Champion and Amazing Red as the X-Division Champion. The Hardys also booked a tag team match involving Expressions and AJ Francis against themselves, and a tables match between The Righteous and Syx. Other scheduled developments included a Best Two Out of Three Falls match for the TNA International Championship between Jason Hotch and Mustafa Ali, and a Fatal Four-Way match featuring Rich Swann, KC Navarro, Cedric Alexander, and Fabian Aichner to determine the next X-Division Championship contender. Additionally, Daria Rae returned to her role as Director of Operations following a suspension. Recent reports indicate that Jeff Hardy may require a hiatus from professional wrestling to address a persistent neck injury. Matt Hardy stated on the ‘Extreme Life with Matt Hardy’ podcast that Jeff has been managing a bulging disc for approximately one year.
