Thefts in Tehuacán, Mexico

Overview

A series of thefts has been reported in Tehuacán, Puebla. On August 9, 2026, an armed robbery occurred at a convenience store in the Santa Cruz Acapa auxiliary board. Security footage showed a suspect brandishing a firearm from his vest to demand cash and merchandise from an employee.

On August 13, 2026, another incident was recorded at a Christian church in the Resurrección neighborhood. A man was filmed stealing an alms box and other valuables from the altar after checking to ensure no staff or congregants were present. Local authorities have been provided with footage from these incidents to assist in identification.
