Serbia possesses several thermal spa resorts recognized for their medicinal properties and historical significance. Lukovska banja, situated at an altitude of 700 meters, utilizes 37 thermomineral springs with temperatures reaching 65 degrees Celsius. The facility provides treatments such as balneotherapy and hydrogen sulfide gas inhalation to assist with rheumatic diseases, osteoporosis, and post-surgical recovery. Other notable locations include Vranjska Banja, which features some of the warmest mineral water in Europe with source temperatures between 94 and 110 degrees Celsius. Historically frequented by Serbian royalty, its sulfur-rich waters are used for neurological, gynecological, and skin conditions. Additionally, Bogutovačka Banja on Mount Troglav offers milder mineral water between 25 and 27 degrees Celsius for treating digestive and cardiovascular issues. In southern Serbia, Sijarinska Banja is emerging as an affordable destination near Medveđa. The area features a known hot water geyser and provides access to 26 mineral springs, 18 of which are utilized for medical purposes. Accommodation options in the region range from budget-friendly private rooms to apartments and weekend houses.
