Ticket fraud warnings in Italy

Authorities in Italy have issued warnings regarding various ticket fraud schemes targeting different sectors of the entertainment and sports industries.

Initially, Italian police warned of a surge in scams involving sold-out concerts and popular events. Fraudsters have been using unofficial websites, social media, and private chat groups to sell counterfeit or invalid tickets. This warning specifically highlighted the upcoming 2027 arena tour for rapper Sfera Ebbasta, advising fans to use only authorized platforms like TicketOne or Vivo Concerti to avoid fraud and inflated prices.

Subsequently, the Italian Football Federation (FIGC) issued its own warning concerning fraudulent websites targeting fans of the Italian National Team. These scammers are reportedly using artificial intelligence and unauthorized graphic layouts to mimic official FIGC branding. The fraudulent activity is linked to upcoming Nations League fixtures against Belgium, Turkey, and France. The FIGC has clarified that all legitimate ticket sales are conducted exclusively through the official federation portal and authorized Vivaticket agencies.
